President Scott Barry joined Intercorp in 2004 after successfully setting up a captive services unit for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, and 12 years as senior vice president of underwriting for a large national insurance company specializing in programs. He started his career on the claims side, and brings more than 25 years of insurance experience to his role at Intercorp. Scott’s contacts and relationships in the insurance industry guarantee that we are providing our association and industry clients with the best insurance carrier resources for their members.

Association experience, as well as communications and marketing know-how, are the forte of agency principal Elaine Matternas, former Editor & Publisher of Association Management magazine, published by the American Society of Association Executives. Elaine combines her communications skills with more than 20 years of insurance experience to make sure Intercorp's marketing materials reach our target audiences. She works with Intercorp's network of independent agents to make sure our programs are on target and meeting their needs, and she also oversees Intercorp's operations.

When it comes to underwriting, you won't find anyone more knowledgeable than Dave Filer. Dave has more than 30 years of underwriting experience, most of it with INA-Cigna (now ACE), handling complex risks. Dave has more designations and letters after his name (CPCU, CLU, AIM, ARM, AIR, and so on) than will fit on a business card! His incisive mind and quick grasp of a project or situation cut to the crux of a problem—meaning we don’t waste your time with long, drawn-out timelines when a problem can be solved quickly. At Intercorp, he provides valuable underwriting guidance on all programs, drafting policy language, writing underwriting guidelines, creating rating models, and performing internal audits.

Program Manager Kate Ginder is a eight-year veteran of Intercorp's staff, and manages the Real Estate Appraiser Errors & Omissions Program; Lori Donmoyer, an nine-year staff veteran, oversees Intercorp's finances, bookkeeping, and overall office management. Rounding out the team are Customer Service Representative Molly Harmes, who works with the Real Estate Appraiser Program, Underground Tank Program, and GlassInsure; Pat Lutz, receptionist and administrative assistant; and Cyrenne Ginder, part-time student intern who works on special projects.
